DS series of rotary absolute singleturn encoders with hollow shaft is designed for harsh environment. DS series, similarly to other Netzer encoders are products based on the unique Netzer's patented Electric Encoder™ technology, based on capacitive sensing in order to measure angular position. DS series encoders are insensitive to magnetic fields, vibrations and shocks. Unlike the optical encoders, DS series encoders give information about position based on the analysis of the whole surface, not a single point.
